Etley Point - Archaic era, North America #1436
Low stock: 1 left
Type: Etley Stemmed Point | Period: Late Archaic (3000–1000 BC) | Provenance: Lee County, Arkansas | Length: 4.87" | Condition: Authentic, no restoration
This exceptional Etley Stemmed Point is a genuine Late Archaic artifact recovered from Lee County, Arkansas — a region historically rich in Native American occupation along the Mississippi River corridor. Etley points are a diagnostic type of the Late Archaic period, characterized by their broad, stemmed base and carefully pressure-flaked blade edges, used for hunting and tool work by Indigenous peoples of the Midwest and Mid-South.
At nearly 5 inches in length, this is a large, display-quality specimen. The flaking pattern is well-preserved, and the piece shows no restoration or repair — what you see is exactly what was found in the ground thousands of years ago.
Collector Notes: Etley points are sought after for their size, symmetry, and cultural significance within the Late Archaic typology. This piece is ideal for a serious arrowhead or lithic artifact collection focused on the Archaic period of the American Midwest and South.
